Il caso delle luci di Montreal del 7 Novembre 1990
Il 4/10/1989 c'è da segnalare il caso dell'UFO di Voronezh, che per quanto "opaco" proveniente da informazioni sovietica, è stato valutato un evento ufologico di classe 2, definito Disco n°8.
In rete si trovano facilmente dati sul caso delle luci di Montreal 7/nov/1990 alias Place Bonaventura incident, Montreal nov/7/1990. Nel presunto evento, colore, forma e dinamica di volo del presunto UFO sono ufologicamente interessanti e degni d'approfondire la storia.

11:15 PM. A woman at home on a foggy evening in San Antonio, Texas was attracted by a humming sound she heard outside. She then saw a hovering orange, oval-shaped disc that emitted a strong blue beam of light. The beam of light extinguished the closest street light. The next odd thing that happened is that a firetruck appeared driving down her street. (Sources: Robert E. April 22, 1989; St. Louis, MO
9:22 PM. Two witnesses on a balcony witnessed an OBOL (Orange Ball Of Light) in the east. Then, the object appeared in front of the witnesses, between buildings. It was described in the preliminary report as disc-shaped, without tapered edges, an orange dome on top, orange stripe around mid-section, and a black bottom with many blue lights underneath (Exhibit 4L). The witnesses ran into the street and watched the object fade westward. Total observation: 20-30 seconds. (Ref. 5)

Ergo, ai fini del calcolo (E1-E0+e) della latenza ufologica (E0=primo avvistamento utile del disco e poi E1=successivo avvistamento in un altro caso ufologico), è ovvio che l'evento del 7/11/1990 anche se fosse un evento UFO genuine, IMHO andrebbe sterilizzato in quanto probabilmente imputabile allo stesso oggetto, già osservato in modo ragionevolmente persistente, dal 4/10/1989.

- querando in Youtube, si trova questo filmato, che non si sa, se sia vero o meno?!.
- cercando JPG o copie della Montreal Gazzette del giorno dopo (8/11/1990), non ho trovato niente, tranne questo stralcio di giornale, dove non è indicato la data ed il nome della testata giornalistica. Tuttavia leggendo il testo, si capisce che la storia è probabilmente annessa all'evento di Montreal del 7/11/1990. Il ritaglio di giornale proviene presumibilmente dall'edizione del giorno successivo (oppure dei giorni immediatamente successivi). Nell'articolo emergono anche altri testimoni, la redazione del giornale avrebbe anche trovato delle presumibili tracce a terra discoidali!.
Th:
- E' possibile che le luci osservate a Montreal nella notte, siano riferibili a proiettori di discoteche, specie se il cielo la notte del 7/11/1990 fosse stato nuvoloso.
- Il filmato trovato in rete, non riporta la solita data ed ora delle telecamere VHS del tempo, per cui non è valutabile razionalmente la sua autenticità. Il filmato appare di qualità annessa ad una VHS, ma la luce filmata, potrebbe essere anche un flares, od un grosso bengala militare. Il filmato tuttavia, evidenzierebbe l'assenza di nuvole, elemento che sarebbe in contrasto con quanto evidenziato in un documentario ufologico sullo stesso topic (in lingua francese).
- Avendo trovato molto poca documentazione ufficiale (assenza d'arretrati che siano realmente della Montreal Gazzette del 8/nov/1990 da cui leggere l'articolo, valutando meglio il caso e le testimonianze riportate) ho deciso ;-P per il momento di non statisticare l'evento.
